If you want an inexpensive mower that will mow smaller lawns well (under 2 acres) and last you many years this is the cheapest mower in the Craftsman lineup with an automatic transmission that will do the job for you.

Cons:
Two gauge wheels. If your lawn is hilly and rough gauge wheels helps to keep the deck from gouging and tearing up your lawn.
There are not a lot of negatives with this mower as long as you understand that it is a good quality inexpensive mower designed to mow lawns well. I like this lawn mower for what it is designed for. It is capable of pulling a small garden cart, spreading fertilizer and other LIGHT yard work but I would not recommend this lawn tractor for anything else. It is too small to effectively plow snow and to lightweight and under powered to push a 42 inch snow thrower adequately.

Just brought my LTS2000 home today and fired it up. My only concern is the very sensitive clutch pedal. I ran mine today for about 10 min just to warm it up and see what it could do. If you are not very careful going from stop to go in 5ht or 6th gear tractor will buck forward and the front wheels can come off the ground. This happened to me 2 times in 6th and once in fifth gear.

Yes they will do that. The clutch is very sensitive when popping the clutch in high gears. All brands and models (not just Craftsman) with gear drive will lurch and jump when you release the clutch from stop.
These types of transmissions will also be jerky when shifting from gear to gear especially in the higher gears.
So what I am saying is this is normal. You will need some practice to learn to drive it without it jerking too much.
If you have not driven a gear drive tractor much, there is a slight learning curve with the trans. It is not smooth like a car trans, it's more like the trans on a 1953 Farmall farm tractor.

@ Mike, The associates at the outlet store should have printed one out for you. Since they didn't click on the Craftsman Manuals link in the right hand column. When you get to managemyhome type Craftsman and then you model number in the box for manual. It will pop up and you can print it from there.
