What I Like!
Do you have a small yard and a large garden? Do you compost all of your yard waste? This is the best mower for you. This mower has an integrated bagger and is designed to bag only. It will not side discharge. The 30 inch deck (one big blade) will cut well. This is a great mower for small, complicated, lawns. It is very easy to drive and gives you great visibility all around. The large deck and step through design will be easy for us old, stiff guys to get on and off.
The bagger is part of the mower, and you can dump it right from your seat. Just back up to your compost pile and pull the handle. It is a great product if you want a compact bagging system. You can remove the bag without tools and use the mower to pull light attachments.

Paul,Looking for a mower to replace 34 inch Simplicity Cornet, very good mower just very expensive. 1st Question..can a mulching blade be used,if so is a baffle for discharge available..2nd can you mow with bagger removed..did not see a refrence to this… Thank you George
@George, No, No and No. This unit is sold as a bagger only. There is no mulching blade available, no mulch plug and no door or plug to use with the bagger removed. I suggest you look at the Craftsman 28034 or Snapper RE Rider. These units both have all the features you want. The Snapper RER17.5/33 is real close to you old Cornet.
http://www.snapper.com/riding-mowers/RE%20Riders/Does the bagger plug easily. We have used a Walker with grass catcher and because some of our lawn is pasture grass, it often plugs up. Sometimes due to the moisture. I have reached the place in life where the grass catcher on the Walker, even though it is wonderful, I am not strong enough to lift it to empty it. Also, the front of the Zero turn is quite heavy to lift in order to unplug the chute.
How would you compare this mower to the Walker?
@Lula, I have had no one complain about the bagging tube plugging, but I know there have been very few of these or the previous Craftsman SRD mowers sold.
I honestly don’t think the SRD is any comparison to your Walker. The SRD bagger only holds 1/4 as much. You do know you can get an electric lift for the walker? Walker calls it a Power Lift and here is a link to the
http://www.walkermowers.com/options/power-dump-option.phpAre you plugging before the fan or after it? If it’s plugging before, think about putting a set of Gator blades on it. These shred the grass more and the smaller particles won’t clog as much. If it is clogging after the fan, make sure your fan drive belt is in good shape. A slow fan will cause you plugging problems.
Have you ever seen a corkscrew dog anchor? It’s the kind that your screw into the ground to stake out your dog. I had a Skag Turf Runner that would clog often and I used one of the anchors to clean out the intake chute. I did make is 2 foot longer by welding a rod to it.
