2011 was such a great year for Craftsman that the manufacture ran out of rear 20x8x8 tires for the YT3000 and YT4000 tractors. To keep your new tractor coming to you they substituted a larger tire.
This larger tire was primarily used on some of the Model 28851, 28856, and 28866 YT Yard Tractors.
If you are planning on installing tire chains this winter these larger tires need a different tire chain than what is listed in the fit-up chart your local Sears store has.
In short, to get the correct chain you need to look at your rear tire and get the ACTUAL tire size off the tire.

Yes, You need to remove the deck to use tire chains on the YT3000 and YT4000 with 20x10x10 tires. The chains will rub on the deck.

Can you advise on the bagger: according to the fit up chart, it should be the 24891/24892, but the Sears Outlet is selling me the 24019. Will that work. I read the reviews and it issues seem to be with assembly/fitment, so should I have them install it on the tractor? As they are a 45 minute drive away I don’t want to have to go all the way down there again because of issues with the bagger.

@Steve, You are right, your tractor takes the 24891 (2 bag) or 24892 bagger. Here is the latest copy of the 2011 Craftsman Tractor Fit-up Chart you can show the outlet boys.

The 24019 WILL NOT fit your YT 4000. If they insist let them install it

Thanks for the heads up on the tire chain fitment error. I am picking up my new YT4000 Monday from the Sears Outlet in Newark, DE and am buying these are what is presently on the order:
mower: 28856
bagger: 24019
snow thrower: 24837
wheel weights: 24445
chains: 24860
I will tell them to change the chains to the 24862 chains.

Can you clarify which ones I need?

@Steve, Yes, originally Sears stated the 24863 chains were the correct ones. They are for 18″/19″ x 9.5″ x 8″ Wheels.
With the tire changes they changed to these other two part numbers. It does get confusing and I’ll go back and change that post to show the new chains.
