Executive Summary: I am not going to review this tractor until May. I don’t know enough about it to make an informed review. I will give you my views then.
Is this the right mower for you?: If you are looking for the best out there…. a mower that will last and last. If you are looking at the John Deere X300 series because everything else is built “too cheap” seriously look at this mower. This is Craftsman’s best 42 inch mower. It has a heavy-duty frame, deck and drive-train.
Myself, I would pick the Craftsman CTX9000 46 in 22 hp Premium Tractor over this mower only for the selection of attachments. The 46 inch is heavier yet. Take a look at both of them before you make your decision.

Reliability – New to 3 yrs: This tractor is serviced by Sears. Read The Reviews Here One thing to know – Sears takes the tractor out of the shipping crate but they do not “setup” the tractor. You have to put gas in it, and run it for the first time. You may have to hook up the battery and charge it. If there is an assembly problem you call 1-800-4MY-HOME and a service tech comes out and fixes the issue. The store where you picked it up from or the delivery team does not repair the tractor.
Handling – Traction/Steering: I recommend you never use a mower like this on wet or drought-dry slopes.

The bagger for the 42 in is model # 07124033000 BUT the bagger won’t be available until April 1st. Go ahead and buy your tractor and then get your bagger in a month.
