Hi, Paul – Been looking through the site and very helpful. Two questions on the Craftsman 25001.
First, did you write an updated review? There’s words saying that there is a link to an update, but no update.
Second, I have the chance to purchase one of these for about $1400 new. Any comment on that as a value proposition? (I’m mowing about a 2 acre lawn with an old GT5000 with a 48″ deck now.) Thanks.

Paul, I recently purchased a Craftsman 42” ZTR before I read your review and I am still quite a ways down on the learning curve. I want to use it a little longer before I decide to keep it or not. My unit is set up to turn off the mower deck when both control levers are in reverse. My Craftsman garden tractor has a position on the key switch to defeat this safety feature, but the ZTR does not. I own this mower delivered form sear 3/2013. It definitely mows in reverse and while zero turning.



Sears website states this mower will mow in reverse. After reading your review I called Sears customer service and they also assured me that the blades will continue to run in reverse. Is this something that “Craftsman” has changed since you posted your review?
