April Deals at Cub Cadet!

Hi Paul, having read a lot of your articles I’m convinced that you know what you’re talking about and can definitely help us, if you wouldn’t mind.
I have a 20 acre Farmstay in the Scenic Rim. I need a mower that will cut lawns very neatly as well as mow the tougher grass in the fields (including Rat Tail). My tractor/slasher has recently given up the ghost and can now only be used as a mover and lifter. My son is really interested in Cub Cadet machines for performance and reviews and I’d like to have your opinion as to which one would be best. Covid has really done a number on accommodation as as you can understand so I’d also appreciate any suggestions you’d have as to where to purchase for best price (Sales perhaps) and after sale service. Thanks, Robyn
Paul
Hi Robyn, use the dealer locator on the Cub Cadet website to find a dealer. You will want a dealer that is a commercial dealer. There are 37 dealers located in the Brisbane area but not all of them will carry (or be able to get) the mowers I suggest.
Cub Cadet usually has the best sales in the spring and early summer.
Because you have such a large area and want to mow your lawn and heavy grass I strongly recommend a Pro Z 700 or Pro Z 900 series. They will last you years, are easy to use, and with the steering wheel work very well on both slopes and flat areas. I’m not that familiar with your area but if you have soft sandy ground or wet spots the models with dual rear wheels really help.

Hey Paul, I have a 1 acre yard fairly flat with 1 hill. I’m looking at a xt2 lx42 or a JD x350. I have a ton of leaves in the fall so I need a bagger and I do tow a cart occasionally. Now I have a CC 2009 zero turn i1042 but not that impressed with it, bought it used though. Any thoughts. Thanks Mark
Paul
Hi Mark, I’m partial to the Cub Cadet XT2 LX42. It has all the features you need, like the Deere but it also comes with 4-ply tires, a great Kawasaki engine, and a great cutting deck. All for over $500 less.
