I don’t usually put tools on this site, but Tools In Action showcased a tool this morning that I think is a HUGE step forward in the compact drill/driver market. I want one!
After trying to replace a car speaker on a cold snowy day, Joel Towsan decided to design and prototype his very own 7.2V pocket driver. It puts 80 in. lbs of torque at 160 RPM into the tightest of spaces. I like to work on lawn tractors and some of the screws and nuts can be in some really tight places. This tool will be a great time saver.
This is a Kickstarter project and Joel is looking for backers to manufacture this neat tool. You can donate as little as $10 for the production costs and for $130 you get one of the first ones made complete with carrying case, charger and batteries. Check out the Flipout Tantrum on Kickstarter.
