John Deere Recalls Zero-Turn Mowers Made Late Last Summer

If you purchased a new Z445, Z645, Z655, and Z665 John Deere Zero-Turn Mower after August 1st this year please check the serial number to see if the number begins with 1GXZ.

John Deere is recalling about 150 zero-turn mower with serial numbers beginning with 1GXZ, manufactured from Aug. 10-Sept. 9, 2015. A fuel hose may have been cut during manufacturing, allowing fuel to leak, posing a fire hazard.

A complete list of the serial numbers involved in the recall can be found on John Deere’s website here.

There have been four reports of cut fuel hoses during the manufacturing process, but no injuries have been reported. If your serial number matches the ones on the list please immediately stop using your recalled zero-turn mower and contact a John Deere dealer for a free repair. If you have registered your mower John Deere is also contacting you directly.
